Blu-ray Disc player: The Sony BDP-S350 plays the next-generation Blu-ray format, giving you movies in high definition. Not only does Blu-ray give you a better video experience, but also includes interactive features such as picture-in-picture viewing, where you can operate the Blu-ray Disc’s menu in a separate frame while watching the movie.

1080p upconversion: You can also watch your standard DVDs, but at an upconverted rate. The DVD’s resolution, when viewed with a proper HDTV, is increased to 1080p. The end result is a near high-definition viewing experience greater than you had before.

Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD: Blu-ray Discs with Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD audio decoding split the audio into respective sound channels, each one assigned to a speaker in a 7.1 home theater system. When you connect the BDP-S350 to a proper 7.1 system, it sends each channel to speaker, and provides a high definition surround sound experience.

HDMI output, S-Video output: The HDMI output lets you connect to an HDTV or home theater receiver through one HDMI cable, reducing the tangle of numerous audio and video cables. You also get a component video output, an S-video output, coaxial digital output, 2-channel analog audio output, and composite video output. All outputs are located in the rear of the player.

Multi-format playback: You can view JPEG image files on your HDTV, and can also read discs in the DVD+R/+RW, DVD-R/-RW, and BD-R/RE (recordable Blu-ray Disc) formats.

Bravia Sync: This HDMI connectivity technology lets you control several linked Sony audio video products through the use of a single remote.

BD Live Ready: This player is BD Live Ready, meaning that it will become active in BD Live upon receiving a firmware update.
