A simple user interface provides intuitive operation of the SoundDock and iPod functions for easy use. Volume control buttons on the system give you basic control of the system even if the remote is not readily available. Ramping volume automatically turns the volume up gradually when the SoundDock is first turned on, providing a gentle, pleasant experience. The SoundDock features an integrated system design that matches amplifiers, equalizers and speakers so you get consistent acoustic quality without the inconvenience of complex system adjustments. Bose technology like active electronic equalization, patented integrated signal processing and Digital Signal Processing (DSP) circuitry work to provide a high level of tonal accuracy for exciting realism and consistent quality of sound. Compression circuitry allows most music to pass through unaltered, while limiting high peaks to help prevent distortion so music sounds natural, even at high volume levels.
